It’s finally summertime here in the Pacific Northwest! The skies are blue, flowers are blooming, and the summertime whites and rosés are flooding the market!

This Sauvignon Blanc has a nose full of fresh citrus zest, gooseberry, and slight hints of unripe peach. On the palate, there is a lot of acidity, more unripe peach, and hints of lemon zest make this a lovely wine to sip on the back porch. However, with the amount of acidity on it, I would recommend opening this, pour a glass, let it sit in your fridge overnight, and then come back to it the next day. As I went back to it after doing these same steps, I was more and more impressed with the wine.
I would serve this with seafood such as ceviche or sea bass. I also wouldn’t be opposed to serving this with something light like a mixed green salad with a simple vinaigrette dressing.
