Thirsty Thursday: Faro Coffee

If you’re like me, coffee is a necessity of life. And I’m not talking about the “I’m a basic bitch and need my PSL” necessity, either. Oh no. For me, strong, black coffee is required to survive the day.

When I was given the opportunity to sample some of the coffee from Faro Roasting Houses, courtesy of JavaFly, I knew I had to take the chance. Coffee and wine actually have a lot in common. Coffee has aromatics and flavors that make us go, “Now that’s a good cup of coffee!” I received two samples, the Black Rose and the Breakfast Blend.

Black Rose

Wow. I can see why this is one of their more popular styles. This coffee is smooth and rich. Sweet tobacco and chocolate dominate on this one. As this is a French roast, I was expecting it to be a lot stronger than it was. The strength was a pleasant surprise. I could easily drink this one all day long.

The Breakfast Blend was also smooth, but it wasn’t as rich as the Black Rose. Which is to be expected, as it is a different style than the Black Rose. I found this to be on the bitter side. This one reminded me of unsweetened dark chocolate.

Both of these coffees are available for any machine that takes the K Cups. There are numerous options available on the market at all price points.

I highly recommend both of these coffees. If you’re a coffee snob like myself, you will understand why these are much better than the tub o’coffee that you can buy in the grocery store!

Disclosure: The coffees mentioned were provided as media samples for review purposes.
