The Stoned Mule

Have you ever had…*ahem*…herbal vodka? Or something that smells like it?  This vodka from Dr. Stoner’s makes for a fun take on a Moscow Mule that I call “The Stoned Mule”.

Dr. Stoner's Fresh Herb Vodka is a must for The Stoned Mule.
Dr. Stoner’s Fresh Herb Vodka

While it’s illegal to infuse *actual* marijuana into alcohol, there’s nothing saying that you can’t infuse it with herbs and spices that give the essence of MJ.  Dr. Stoner’s Fresh Herb Vodka does just that.  It is infused with a proprietary blend of herbs and spices to give their spirits (they also have a rum, agave spirit, and whiskey) to make it smell like “special grass”.  This blend makes for interesting cocktails.  One of my favorite ways to enjoy Dr. Stoner’s is in a twist on a Moscow Mule that I like to call, “The Stoned Mule”.

In addition to the Dr. Stoner’s, this cocktail includes two of my other favorite products from CW Spirits: Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liquer (currently sold out, but if you see it, get some!) and Todo Spray.  Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liqueur is reminiscent of candied ginger that’s been liquefied.  It’s not only a great addition to cocktails, but it’s also great to use in cooking!!  And Todo Spray is a 120 proof ginger & clove infused spray that can be used like absinthe as a glass rinse, or enhance sushi with it!
