Summer of Rosé: Casillero Del Diablo Rosé

Welcome to the Summer of Rosé series! Throughout the summer, I will highlight different rosés from around the world.

The Casillero Del Diablo Rosé is another 100% Rosé of Shiraz (Syrah) from Chile.    There are notes of tart red berries and watermelon rind on the nose.  The watermelon note carries through on the palate and adds a hint of citrus.

Who would I recommend this to?  With the heft that this wine has on the palate, I would recommend this to the beer drinkers and the men who aren’t afraid to drink rosé.

Yes, it is okay for dudes to drink pink wines.

As for food pairings, I would recommend putting together a meat and cheese tray with some crackers.  You could also pair this easily with summer salads and light seafood.

Retail price:  $11.00
