First off, an apology for just up and disappearing. Things got a little crazy in my personal life and…yeah. I had to put this on the backburner. But I’m back, with my batteries recharged and ready to go!!
Over the last year, I have followed the successes, the trials and the tribulations of two extremely special children, both of whom have relatives who are friends of mine. What makes these two li’l munchkins special? They are literally children who are one in a million.
One is fighting a disease called Progeria. The other, a rare blood disorder called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, or HLH.
So when I saw an opportunity to purchase some wines that help fund Children’s Hospitals (which means I got to help fund everything from research to activities…), I jumped at the opportunity.
The 2009 ONEHOPE Arroyo Seco Reserve Pinot Noir is, in one word, delicious. On the nose, you get lots of red berries that leads into a hint of earthiness. The taste draws you in with the raspberries and tart blackberries. The finish lingers with that mixed berry flavor that makes you want more!
And at $24 on ONEHOPE’s website? Definitely a strong, strong buy recommendation. Knowing you’re making a difference in a child’s life…someone who’s future is still ahead of them…that should give you some warm fuzzies.
I know it did for me.
