Recently, I got to taste one of my favorite grapes, garnacha/grenache.
And when I say taste, I mean I got 10 bottles of this fabulous grape. 10!!! *EEEEKKKKK*
Yes, I’m still drinking through them. Yes, it’s been a good drinkin’ week at the OGOGOW World HQ. I have 6 bottles left to drink. Whoever wants to come party with me, let me know. *wink*wink*nudge*nudge*
The two bottles of Troon that are pictured are coming soon to a post near you, FYI.
They are seriously delicious. And for the price, they won’t kill your budget. I mean it. None of these wine retail for more than $25, with most of them falling in the $10-$15 range. Yes, you read that right. They are extremely affordable.
My favorites? Oh boy. I am going to say all of them. They are all fantastic examples of garnacha in both the red & white categories. Do I have bottles that went a little faster than others? Of course!!!! It happens.
Garnacha is a food friendly grape. Seriously. If you’re looking for something to eat with pork and beans (beenies & weenies, cowboy/chuckwagon beans…whatever you want to call them), shepherd’s pie, or even your Thanksgiving Day meal, look to Garnacha, whether it be red, white, or rosé.
Yes, I’m already thinking ahead to Turkey Day. Any of the 10 wines featured will make for a delicious addition to your table.
